St. Finbarr’s Hospital

Delivered and installed bespoke heavy-duty flood protection barriers to safeguard critical hospital infrastructure at St. Finbarr’s Hospital. The project focused on protecting vulnerable access points and ensuring the site remained operational during severe weather events.

Working to a tight programme, we supplied and fitted compact, purpose-engineered flood defence systems designed specifically around the hospital’s operational constraints. The solution combined 6063-T5 construction-grade aluminium with 304 stainless steel components, delivering long-term durability, corrosion resistance, and reliable performance in high-risk conditions.

All installation works were carefully coordinated on an active healthcare site, with full consideration for safety, emergency access, and uninterrupted hospital operations. Ongoing support is provided during flood warning events, including deployment and operation of the barrier system when required.

Engineered for Critical Infrastructure

A tailored flood defence system was designed specifically for a live hospital environment, where access, safety, and continuity of care were non-negotiable. Each barrier was manufactured to fit precise site conditions, protecting key entry points without disrupting day-to-day operations. The result is a discreet but highly effective protective layer around essential infrastructure.

Rapid Delivery, Long-Term Resilience

Each bathroom was completely modernised with non-slip flooring, Whiterock hygienic wall cladding, new ceilings and sanitary fittings. The project also included comprehensive mechanical and electrical upgrades, delivering safe, robust and easy-to-maintain facilities designed to meet the demanding requirements of a healthcare environment.
